Why Practice?

Practicing is overlooked by many golfers as they believe that it is more useful to merely go out and play a round than to spend an hour with a great golf training aid such as a golf hitting mat or golf driving range mat.

“Most people want to spend all of their time on the course, but if they want to be good players they are wasting their time. You’ve got to hit balls everyday.” -Lee Trevino

The question of “why practice?” is not the real question as golfers should actually ask themselves why not practice? With this type of attitude the games of golfers will definitely improve and their scores will certainly lower.

Better Putting Practice

Putting is the place where most players can either make or break their rounds. Without success on the putting green it is nearly impossible to have a very good round.

“In basketball it usually comes down to one shot, and in golf it usually comes down to one putt, … The mindset is similar in that you can’t get too excited - you have to control the adrenaline or you’ll rush your swing or your shot.” -Eric Lindquist

With the importance of putting, why not be able to practice it in your backyard? With a putting training aid or outdoor putting green your putting will certainly improve, and your scores will show.
